| Cowboys vs. Redskins Preview | |
|
Not to take anything away from Campbell who now plays for the Oakland Raiders, but McNabb is a future hall of famer. As well, with former Bronco coach Mike Shanahan now running the Washington Redskins, expectations couldn’t be higher for one of the league’s more disappointing clubs in recent time. Going into the game America’s team is favored over Washington by four points. Also going into 2010, the Dallas Cowboys are one of the odds on favorites to play in the Super Bowl which just so happens to be in Dallas this year. Yet one should keep in mind, that before taking the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl, they have to make the playoffs. In one of the NFL’s toughest divisions that will be a bigger task than some may think. Conversely, with all the huge offseason facelift the Washington Redskins underwent, they find themselves as a four point underdog even though they finished last season with an atrocious four and 12 record. Alongside Shanahan and McNabb, are star running backs Willie Parker and Larry Johnson. Last season the Redskins lost all six within the division. Shanahan will be looking to change that statistic starting with the Cowboys in week one. Although the Haynesworth – Shanahan saga has clouded over the Redskins training camp, we still see Haynesworth being a force on the Washington defensive line. Meaning to say, with a new look Redskin team, don’t be afraid to take the underdog in this low scoring affair. |
